In
addition to the points allocated for the finish of the car
drivers can earn race points
through their performances in Stage 1 and Stage 2 during the race. Drivers who are
running first through 10th at the conclusion of Stage 1 and/or Stage
2 will receive points, starting with 10 points for first place, nine
points for second place, down to one point for 10th place. Points
earned in those two stages are then added to what drivers earn after
the Final Stage, which sets the full race results. The
maximum points a driver can earn per race is 60. If a driver
wins stage 1 (10pts.) and also wins stage 2 (10pts) and wins the
race (40pts) the driver will receive a total of 60pts.
RELIEF
DRIVERS:
Points are awarded to the
starting driver of each car, regardless of who is driving at the
finish. The starting driver must take the green flag and complete at
least one lap before turning the car over to a relief
driver.
